Both Ross and I were extremely impressed with your professionalism and kind nature that calmed us down and got us through the day! Having met you prior to our wedding day we were both assured we had picked the best venue that included your services as part of the day, and from the very start of the day you were not only assisting with the order of the day but I felt like personally you were there for me as a friend and I felt really reassured with my nerves in your trust! Thank you for helping out with the order of photos, carrying my train, and for making all our guests especially the young nervous ones feel at ease. We both didn't quite realise the value of having you as our toastmaster on our big day - it went very smoothly with you helping us through and everyone commented on how effective you were at ensuring the day 'ticked along' in a good logical order! As you will no doubt remember, you were Master of Ceremonies at mine and Adam's wedding at The Grange, Winterbourne, on 2 November. I'm writing in response to your recent letter, and your request that we write a testimonial to support your application to join the Toastmasters and Master of Ceremonies Federation. I am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to support your application. I have been meaning to contact you myself since we returned from honeymoon, to express my personal thanks for all your help and support on our wedding day. So writing a testimonial for you provides the perfect opportunity! I have no reservation in providing a wholehearted recommendation that Dave Stallworthy be accepted to join the Federation. On our wedding day, Dave took care of absolutely everything from start to finish. There was nothing we needed to worry about. I was an extremely nerous bride, but Dave's completely calm demeanour meant I didn't feel panic stricken, or rushed (despite running very late!). He was so reassuring and really calmed me down. I would have been a complete nervous wreck without him there to support me. Dave ensured everyone was in the right place, at the right time, not only for the ceremony, but also during all the photos, where he collected everyone in plently of time for the shots that were listed. During the meal, Dave announced our arrival, and was thoroughly attentive throughout to make sure everyone had what they needed at all times. This ranged from helping a guest who received news of a relative suddenly being taken seriously ill, to checking on the Grand Prix results and prividing updates to my father upon request! And of course, introducing the speeches. A particularly nice moment at the end of the speeches was when Dave caught my eye to see whether I wanted to make a speech of my own. The slightest shake of my head in response and he moved everything along, so no one would have been any the wiser that I had declined. Throughout the day and evening reception, Dave was in charge of all the arrangements. We relied on him totally to make sure we were where we needed to be, at the right time. He carried out the role of Master of Ceremonies with exactly the right mix of calmness, formality, aplomb, and also humour according to each situation that arose. Many of our guests commented on how impressed they were with Dave's organisation of all the events. We really appreciated his support, and both feel he did a fantastic job making sure our day ran smoothly. Our wedding day was perfect, and Dave played an extremely important part in helping us achieve that, for which we really are very grateful. We wish you every success in your application Dave, and all the best for a continued successful career as a Tastmaster and Master of Ceremonies. You will be remembered by many people for being an integral part of their most important celebrations!

Dave Stallworthy was the toastmaster at our wedding and what a wonderful contribution he made to our special day. Not only was Dave the toastmaster, he helped, supported and assisted us throughout the day with various duties. He supported and reassured the bridal party and myself at all times. Dave also assisted a good friend of mine who was the photographer. This was by organising and arranging everyone accordingly for the photos, which was hard work, but Dave's excellent organisational skills made this easy for everyone. After the Wedding Breakfast, Dave was asked to make announcements on our behalf, which he performed excellently. Dave is motivated and passionate about his hob and role. We had met Dave a few months before our Wedding day when visiting the Grange for an appointment. We were therefore able to phone him on various occasions before the wedding asking for advice, which was greatly valued. My friends and family spoke very highly of Dave, he made our day! We would all recommend him to anyone. Dave's warm and friendly nature will endear him to all he meets.

I am writing this testimonial for Dave Stallworthy who presided as Toastmaster at our recent wedding ceremony and reception on Friday, 5 September 2008 at the Grange Hotel, Rangeworthy, Bristol. I would like to state that Dave was very helpful, courteous, friendly and nothing on the day was too much trouble, hence our ceremony and reception went like clockwork. Also since the ceremony many relations on both my side of the family and Gemma's side have remarked how well he made the day run. On 8 August 2008 my wife and I had our wedding receiption at Sudeley Castle near Cheltenham and we employed Dave Stallworthy as our Master of Ceremonies. As we had a number of events taking place within our reception one of our main worries was timings and everything running to schedule. Dave's management of the day was perfect! Dave's clear communication, personable manner, calmness and professionalism made the day run seamlessly into the night, while all the time supporting us and reacting to any other needs that we had. I could not recommend Dave highly enough, my wife and I will always be extremely grateful to him for helping take away so much of the strain and making the day as stress free as it possibly could have been.

We just wanted to say thank you so much for all the hard work you did at our wedding. We had such an amazing day, everything went perfectly (even the weather, I don't think we have seen the sun since!). You did such an amazing job and we are so glad we hired you. We have spoken to a lot of guests since who commented on how nice you were and they even said you made the wedding and the best thing we did was to hire you! We were having photos with Sarah Cameron for ages and you were brilliant at mingling with all the guests and gathing everybody when we needed them. Also, thank you for staying to introduce our first dance, it was very kind of you, I know the meal ran a lot later than we anticipated and you had had a long day by then also! Also, thank you for the card you gave us, it was a great momento of the day and having you there, it is already in our keep-sake box! I am writing in response to your letter, nothing would give us greater pleasure than to support your application to join the Toastmasters and Masters of Ceremonies Federation. Stephen and I both thoroughly enjoyed our day and were so relieved that everything ran smoothly and for that we are acutely aware was due to your high standard of professionalism. As guests arrived you introduced yourself and offered your knowledge and experience to everyone dispelling any doubts that they had as to their role in the proceedings. You advised them at all times regarding the itinery prior to and after the wedding ceremony and during the wedding breakfast they felt able to approach you at any time for your advice and guidance. The photographer also commented on the way you contributed your organisaitonal skills during the photo shoots. He was extremely grateful for your professional manner and assistance. From the time that Stephen and his best man, Martyn, arrived you introduced yourself and quelled their nerves and guided them through the whole procedure preventing any unnecessary anxiety as to what would occur next. From the moment I arrived at the Grange and you introduced yourself, briefly explained your duties and informed me that the guests were all seated and waiting for my arrival, I felt able to relex and let myself be guided by you. On 26 June 2008 I engaged Mr Dave Stallworthy as toastmaster for the launch of my book Warzone Speedway at the REME museum at Arborfield.

The day was part of the MoD Veterans Day celebrations and attracted an audience of over 150 military, speedway rider veterans and their families. From the very outset of the project, Mr Stallworthy was very professional, obtaining a full brief, understanding the event timetable in detail and preparing himself for a series of interviews with invited guests. Supplying his own PS which enabled him to manage accompanying music and sound equipment for the interviews, I was able to concentrate on my book signing duties, safe in the knowledge that the event would run like clockwork.

Senior museum executives commented to me after the event that the whole presentation of the event was very professional and showed appropriate respect to the assembled veterans. Mr Stallworthy's role was key and I would recommend his service to anyone requiring a toastmaster.

As MC, Dave's duties included welcoming the delegates and ensuring the Conference ran to schedule, which he accomplished with a calm authority and good humour.
